What tuition costs
Rates go up with the level, because so does the preparation behind each lesson. Every session is 60 minutes and includes resources written for the student afterwards, detailed marking, and questions answered in between. We take a student trying to pull a grade back before the summer as seriously as a student already at A* who wants an Olympiad medal or an Oxbridge place, and the rate is the same either way. Single lessons and blocks
Rates by level
Open a level to see the single-lesson rate and what a block of 5 or 10 lessons costs. Blocks are the same teaching, booked ahead: 5 lessons is roughly one a week for half a term, 10 lessons is one or two a week across a term. The discount comes off the hourly rate for that level.
GCSE From £50/hour
Rebuilding foundations after a bad set of mocks, or pushing a 7 towards a 9.
A-Level From £70/hour
From rescuing a module that has gone wrong to sitting a confident A*. Further Maths and IB included.
Olympiads & Challenges From £80/hour
Content from well outside the syllabus, plus the particular way these papers expect a candidate to think. Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, Olympiads and the Maths Challenges.
Undergraduate From £100/hour
Degree-level teaching, including quantum mechanics, computational chemistry and maths for chemists and biologists.
Admissions From £100/hour
11+, 13+ and 16+ school entry, Oxbridge interviews and personal statements, and the admissions tests: ESAT, TMUA, TARA and the LNAT.

For the runs where weekly lessons are not enough: the term before an exam, an admissions cycle, or the weeks before a competition round. Each one is planned around a fixed date and quoted per student, so talk to us early and we will build the schedule backwards from it.

Small groups and free consultations
Small-group teaching is described in more detail under small-group classes. The discount comes off the hourly rate for your level, and it does not reduce the work that goes with it.

Cancellation policy
Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged at the full session rate, except in cases of illness or emergency. Block lessons do not expire mid-term: 5-lesson blocks are valid for four months and 10-lesson blocks for eight months.
