That holds at both ends of the range: we work with students trying to rescue a grade after a bad set of mocks, and with students already at A* who want an Olympiad medal or an Oxbridge place. We also take on a limited number of students each term, because the rest of what we do only holds up if there is time to do it properly. Our rates and packages are the same whichever end you are starting from.
After every session your tutor writes resources for that student: problem sheets built around what actually came up, worked solutions and a full marking report. Never pulled from a bank of generic worksheets. This is a guarantee, not an optional extra.
Stuck on something at 9pm the night before a mock? Message your tutor. Our tutors answer queries outside of lessons within 24 hours, and it is part of what you are paying for rather than something we sell you later.
Every Ridgeway tutor is required to hold A*s and grade 9s at GCSE, A*s at A-Level, and a First-Class degree. Families trust us with their children's education because we do not compromise on that bar.
Progress comes from structure, not from hours logged. Here is how a programme usually runs, whichever of our subjects you need:
We start with a diagnostic session, recent marked work, and a conversation about the grade you need and by when. We don't write a plan before we know what we're dealing with.
We spend time on why a method works. A student who knows where a formula comes from can rebuild it in an exam. A student who only memorised it can't.
After each lesson your tutor writes homework aimed at whatever went wrong in it. We mark it in detail and send it back with a note on what improved and what's next.
The point is to become unnecessary. By the end, students have a way of revising, a way into an unseen question, and enough judgement to know when they genuinely understand something.
